Cosmetic Dentures
Millions of adults in the UK have missing teeth, we understand the negative impact this can have on your self-esteem. Dentures which move when they shouldn’t can stop you enjoying simple pleasures like a meal out with friends, or even confidently talking and laughing in public.
The dentures we create can improve the quality of your life, and leave you feeling confident and self-assured about your appearance.
Most of our dentures are created by Lee Butler, a Clinical Dental Technician (CDT), whose work was highly commended in the 2010 Dental Awards. One of the UK's leading CDTs, Lee is a dental professional who only works on dentures, so the quality and service you receive will be second to none.
Your initial consultation will give you a chance to meet Lee and share your thoughts about the denture you want. Taking into account your lifestyle, general health and the condition of your mouth Lee will be able to recommend the best option for you.
Some patients who come to us for a denture consultation also discover that they are ideal candidates for dental implants or an implant-stabilised denture. If you choose either of these options you will be invited to an implant consultation with Tim Thackrah or Birgitta Henrikson.

We offer three types of removable denture, all of these can be stabilised with two-four dental implants fitted with special denture connectors. Your dentures can still be removed to be cleaned, but your teeth will be secure and your bite nearly as strong as with your natural teeth.
If you are not concerned about stability and prefer to avoid further surgery you can also opt for any of these options as a non-stabilised removable denture.
Swiss concept denture
The most natural looking solution to missing teeth, this denture is perfectly fitted to you and your face. Made from very high quality materials, this denture offers security, even if you are suffering from bone loss after the removal of your teeth.
Premier dentures
So natural looking, these dentures are hand-made to reproduce your smile. Lee will work from special measurements, old photographs and digital imaging, so even your friends and family won’t notice you’re wearing dentures.
Essential dentures
With excellent stain and breakage resistance, these dentures are made from very hard plastic teeth on a strong acrylic base. Each tooth is individually constructed from three layers of resin to create a very natural appearance.

How soon can I have a denture after my teeth are taken out?
Usually dentures can be fitted straight after your teeth have been removed. Over time you may find that your gums continue to shrink, if your dentures become loose or uncomfortable your dentist may be able to adjust them or you may have to consider a new set.
Will dentures make me look different?
Replacing lost or missing teeth is vital for your health and appearance. A full denture is carefully designed to support your lips and cheeks, in just the same way as your natural teeth. With our dentures, which are handmade to match your own teeth, your appearance hardly changes, unless you want us to improve the look of your smile.
Will I be able to eat with dentures?
Eating will take practice. Start with soft foods, cut into small pieces. Chew slowly and try to use both sides of your mouth at the same time, to stop the denture moving. As you become more accustomed to your denture you can add more foods back into your diet.
Will dentures change how I speak?
Pronouncing certain words can take practice, reading out loud and repeating difficult words has been proven to help.
How do I take care of my dentures?
Dentures can break if you drop them, to prevent this happening always clean them over a bowl of water or folded towel in case you drop them.
The normal routine for cleaning dentures is: brush, soak, brush. Using an effervescent denture cleaner will help to remove stubborn stains and leave your denture feeling fresher. Brush your dentures as you would your own teeth, using toothpaste and a small-headed toothbrush. Be careful not to brush too hard, but do clean all surfaces of the denture, including the surface which touches your gum.
